NEW ORLEANS - (AP) Oil is spewing from a damaged well north of a bay where officials have been fighting the spill from the BP disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. The Coast Guard says a tow boat called Pere Ana C. hit the wellhead near Mud Lake early Tuesday.
…A few people have posted here recently saying that people are already starting to forget what
has happened in the Gulf of Mexico these last 100 days. I certainly hope that is not so.
I wrote a song about BP and the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico called Special Place.

Unfortunately,as this article reveals, BP isn’t the only bad actor here. Please people,
do not forget that there is nothing inevitable about these oil spills.
Intelligent, responsible regulation should ensure that these things don’t happen.
The lack of such regulation is insane. Has the government learned nothing from the last 100 days?…
